3 things you should be doing.

So it’s Women’s Health week, or not, and you think you should be taking care of yourself more but where do you start?

Well firstly understand that taking care of yourself is not selfish it is probably the single most important thing you can do to improve the health and well-being of your family, and or the people around you.

Ignoring your own physical issues and requirements is definitely a recipe for a chronic disease or two, not to mention the risk of certain cancers if you are not getting your screening done properly.

 So what are the 3 simple things you can do to take better care of yourself.

  1. Get at least an annual check-up, and get all your bits and bobs checked and screened. Yep breast screen, blood tests, blood pressure, skin check and the works. Then you will know what and where you are up to.
  2. Do a review of your diet. Are you getting the 7 a day recommended servings of fruit and vegetables? It’s been scientifically proven to reduce your risk of chronic disease as well as making you feel amazing and full of energy.
  3. Plan your exercise time but also plan some me time. They could be one and the same especially if you get to be by yourself or with a good friend whilst you exercise. Either way take a few moments out of each day just to relax, breathe and go a little more slowly.

If you are anything like any of the women I know you are amazing and brilliant at whatever you are doing. If you don’t take care of yourself who else will? Life is way too short to not enjoy each moment.
